Vice President of Sales Operations

The Merlin Group is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Sales Operations  to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence.


Position Overview:

The Vice President of Sales Operations will play a pivotal role in shaping the sales strategy, leading a high-performing sales team, and fostering relationships with key clients. This position requires a strategic thinker with proven experience in sales management within the fleet and logistics sector.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute the sales strategy and exceed revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve their individual and team performance goals.
  • Identify new market opportunities and drive business development initiatives.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and product development teams to align sales efforts with company objectives.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics and market trends to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and KPI tracking for senior leadership.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the fleet and logistics industry.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving targets in a competitive market.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to implementing initiatives.
