John Cail brings over 30 years of mobility and fleet leadership to The Merlin Group. He began his career in 1990 as a rent-a-car General Manager and later led mobility initiatives at Merchants Fleet, where he advanced short-term leasing, pool-management, and flexible mobility programs. Across his career, John has served thousands of clients, delivered 100,000+ short-term leases in 45 industries, and managed 600+ team members. He’s been recognized with Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s Pros to Know (2021), the Gold Stevie® (2021) for Senior Sales Executive of the Year, and Best in Biz (2020, Silver) for Business Development.

At The Merlin Group, John advises clients on demand generation, asset-intensive program design, and operational scaling, aligning with Merlin’s hands-on model that blends strategy with execution to build programmatic solutions that last.

He holds a degree from the University of Southern Maine and lives in the Greater Manchester area with his family, enjoying time on the lake and motorcycle rides.
